The Product Frances Rub Pain Relief Medicine is a traditional remedy or “Fixion” as is commonly called, which has been used to relieve various ailments. Frances Rub Pain Relief Medicine consists of about twenty-five different ingredients including a mixture of local herbs, coconut oil, nutmeg, menthol oil and soft- candle.

Users of this product highly recommend it for relieving head and chest colds, asthma, sinus, muscle stiffness, poor circulation, menstrual pains and even for temporary relief from tooth aches by rubbing it on the outside of the mouth. The product has been widely distributed in St. Lucia since 2012 and is carried by the leading pharmacies and supermarkets on island.

Frances Rub Pain Relief Medicine (Fixion) is produced by St. Lucian born, Mrs. Frances Severin. The product was initially developed when her grandson had a terrible head cold. After making the first mixture and with the remarkable results, she began to share it with other family members and friends for different ailments and this spurred the production for local market.

My name is Frances Severin and my product the Frances’ Rub Pain Relief Medicine (Fixion) has been in circulation from since 2012. I started the business after my Grand-Son Jaylian had a really bad head cold for weeks when he was a about 18 months and I prepared the fixion for him gave it to his mom, my daughter to rub him with and after a few day the cold was almost gone. My daughter then told one of her co-workers about what the product did for her son and she asked for some and she tried it. The Frances Rub did well for my daughter’s co-worker also and then my daughter told me why I don’t start selling the product.

I took my daughter’s advice and sold some for another co-worker of hers then I went on the streets of Castries selling it to workers in business places and passers by and I received good reviews from persons who had used it. I decided to go to small shops and ask them to buy my product on wholesale and retails, and the first shop who bought from me was on The Morne Bakery/Mini-Mart. They took a huge quantity and that gave me motivation to approach bigger businesses like M&C, at first they were a bit hesitant, but after some of the staff had tried it and the purchaser got great reviews from the staff he decided to give it a try and now they are my biggest buyer.

To this day I still supply M&C Stores/Drug Stores around the Island including all Glace Supermarkets, RJ Clarks Drug Store, People’s Discount Pharmacy, Pharmacy 2000, Dilly’s Supermarket, Peter & Co. and shop all over St Lucia eg. V.Fort, Dennery, Micoud, Laborie, Soufriere, Ti Roche Micoud, Gros Islet, Morchy etc.

Massy Stores Supermarket, Massy Stores Pharmacy and Massy Stores Gourmet are my other major retailers, but at first they could not take it because of the packaging I was using, I then sourced new PET jars that they Super J has accepted and they are now retailing the Frances’ Rub in all of their branches Island wide.

The Frances rub consists of over 25 ingredients such as Nutmeg, Soft-candle, Coconut oil, Menthol oil, Menthol Crystals etc. I thank my Husband (Mr. Sugar), my Daughter and her son, and especially the Lord for guiding me with the knowledge to build this product.
